Description:

We are looking to hire a General Laborer and an Experienced Home Remodeler.

As a General Laborer or Home Remodeler- you would assist in the completion of residential construction/ carpentry projects in and around the Pinehurst Area. Day to day you would be responsible for interacting with customers, unloading tools, preparing building site materials, and setting up equipment. 

You would assist in completing the project to the specifications of the supervisor. At times, you may work indoors or outdoors, sometimes in tight spaces and must be able to adapt to conditions and circumstances, working with various hand tools and keeping tools and worksites in a clean, safe condition. Projects vary from day to day- some days working on a kitchen remodel- doing demolition, cabinet installation, etc. Other days working outside, building decks, home additions, etc.

As an experienced Home Remodeler, you must be able to be self sufficient, have experience in all phases of the home remodeling process like: carpentry, interior painting, trim, etc. In this position, experience is key.

Responsibilities:

• Interact with subcontractors, homeowners, and future clients on a daily/weekly basis

• Must have driver’s license, reliable transportation and own cell phone

• Keep jobsites clean and organized, cleaning up construction debris at project completion

• Load and deliver materials to work site- ultimately finishing projects to the clients/ Homewright Construction’s specificity

• Working independently or with a supervisor

• Ability to lift 50+ lbs, occasionally lifting more

• Capable of working in a physically demanding environment and at various heights (40+ feet if a new home build)

• Other duties as assigned

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

• Ability to listen well and follow instructions closely and work as part of a team

• Able to problem solve and troubleshoot

• Knowledge of construction methods and various trades such as demolition, framing, drywall, painting, flooring, tiling, finishing carpentry, window, door, and siding installation

• An open mind for new ideas and methodologies

• Self-starter and independent worker with attention to detail

• Strong ethics and high integrity

Compensation/Benefits Package:

• Pay is based on experience: $15-$20/hr

• This is an hourly wage position. Hourly pay based on experience and qualifications.

• W2 position

• Standard 8:30am-4pm, Monday - Thursday with Friday/ Saturday being a flex day. Overtime pay after 40 hours in a week. Fulltime/ Parttime Positions available. Weekly Pay via direct deposit.

• 4 payed federal holidays.
